When food is scarce UNICEF provide children micronutrients to prevent malnutrition. UNICEF deliver vaccines to stop the spread of disease that too often thrive in the aftermath of disasters. UNICEF responds to hundreds of emergencies each year. When disaster strikes UNICEF teams act quickly to deliver life-saving food, clean water, medicine and psychological support to children and families.
GUIDE DOGS
RideBoom recognises how important these loyal and hardworking animals are to their vision or hearing impaired handlers. Guide dogs are assistance dogs trained to lead blind and visually impaired people around obstacles. Studies show that owning a pet or therapy animal offers positive effects psychologically, socially, and physiologically. Guide Dogs especially provide a variety of benefits and help in many ways. They give a blind person more confidence, friendship, and security. Blind people who use service animals have increased confidence in going about their day-to-day lives and are comforted by their constant friend. Companionship offered by a service dog helps reduce anxiety, depression and loneliness.
